Ayurveda is more than just a healing method — it is a way of life. The word itself comes from the Sanskrit terms Ayu (life) and Veda (knowledge). Literally translated, it means “The Science of Life.” This ancient healing art helps us live in harmony with nature and experience health on all levels. At our Ayurveda health resort, we combine this wisdom with modern mindfulness practices to create a place where healing, peace, and regeneration can naturally unfold.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), health is not merely the absence of disease but a state of complete physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. Ayurveda shares this holistic view — it seeks to restore the balance between these dimensions.
When body, mind, and soul are in harmony, inner stability, clarity, and joy naturally arise. You can learn more about the foundations and philosophy of this ancient knowledge on our page dedicated to Ayurveda Philosophy.
At the heart of every Ayurvedic treatment is the individual. Upon your arrival, our experienced Ayurvedic doctors conduct a detailed consultation. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan is created — tailored to your unique constitution (Prakriti) and current needs.
You can explore the structure and philosophy of our treatments in detail on our Treatment Principles page. A central element of many of our programs is the traditional, profound Panchakarma, which deeply purifies and revitalizes the entire body. Through this powerful method, space is created for clarity, energy, and emotional balance.
Ayurvedic cleansing is not limited to the physical body — it also affects the mind. During a cure, it is common for old emotions to surface. Feelings of fatigue, irritability, or vivid dreams are signs of inner transformation. This is a time for release, allowing the old to fade away so that the new can emerge.
Silence is especially important during this phase. Gentle rituals, herbal oils, and the energy of the surrounding nature help to clear the mind. This natural process of regeneration harmoniously unites body, mind, and soul.
An essential part of your cure is yoga, which unites body awareness, breath, and mindfulness. Yoga enhances energy flow, strengthens the mind, and opens the heart. It helps you to find inner stillness and reconnect with yourself. This creates a deep connection with your true essence and a sense of wholeness that continues long after your stay.
In Ayurveda, the soul is regarded as the eternal, indestructible essence of a human being. It endures beyond the body and mind and is the source of our life energy. When the soul is in harmony, peace, trust, and joy naturally arise.

To promote health and balance, Retreat Park am See Nattika employs Shodana Chikilsa, a comprehensive body purification therapy. The accumulation of toxins in the body, caused by improper dietary habits, daily routines, and climatic changes, can lead to an imbalance of the Tridoshas—the three essential body energies in Ayurveda. To eliminate these toxins and restore Dosha harmony, the therapy begins with preparatory steps (Poorva Karmas), including Snehanakarma (therapeutic oil application) and Swedanakarma (induced sweating). This is followed by Panchakarma—a deep detoxification therapy—and concludes with Paschath Karmas (post procedures) to maintain the regained Dosha balance.
Integrating spiritual healing can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself, improved emotional resilience, and a sense of inner peace. It complements physical and mental health practices, contributing to a comprehensive approach to well-being.
Ayurveda views health as a state of balance and harmony between body, mind, soul, and social well-being. Beyond personal health, the Ayurvedic perspective also considers the individual’s connection to the entire universe. At Park Am See, these holistic aspects of health are combined to provide guests with comprehensive and sustainable healing, offering personalized treatments designed not only to heal the body but also to align mind and soul, promoting overall well-being.
A holistic approach integrates physical health, mental well-being, and spiritual balance, recognizing their interconnectedness. Practices like Ayurveda along with Yoga and Meditation aim to harmonize these aspects to promote overall wellness.
Ayurveda is much more than just a medical system; it is a wisdom teaching deeply rooted in the rich tradition of India. As one of the oldest scientifically recognized health systems in the world, Ayurveda draws on a comprehensive philosophical foundation based on thousands of years of knowledge. Ayurvedic philosophy views the human being as a unity of body, mind and spirit, with the aim of promoting the balance of these three components. This balance is defined not only by physical health, but also by emotional well-being and spiritual contentment. At Retreat Park am See Nattika Ayurveda, we see the teachings of Ayurveda as a guide to holistic healthcare. We recognize the healing power of nature and use it to strengthen the body's self-healing powers. The therapeutic applications of Ayurveda, be it dietary recommendations, lifestyle changes or cleansing rituals, are designed to balance and maintain the individual constitution of each person - known as Prakriti. In our practice, you will experience the healing power of Ayurveda philosophy in concrete terms through individually tailored treatment plans that take into account all aspects of your being and utilize your natural resources. Our experienced Ayurvedic physicians and therapists will guide you on your journey to perfect health and harmonious balance, true to our belief that true healing comes from within and is enhanced by a harmonious connection with nature.Read More
The Ayurvedic philosophy at Retreat Park am See Nattika Ayurveda permeates every element of our healing art and is at the heart of our daily practice. With a deep understanding of the principles of Ayurveda - the science of life - we strive to show every guest a path to holistic health and long-term wellbeing. Ayurveda assumes that the Five Elements (Pancha Mahabhutas) - earth, water, fire, air and ether - are present in every form of matter and living being. The unique combination of these elements in an individual determines their unique constitution, the Prakriti. Our therapies aim to correct any imbalances in these elements that affect the three life energies or doshas - vata, pitta and kapha. The interaction between these doshas determines the state of a person's health. An imbalance can lead to disease, while a harmonious interaction promotes robust health. We focus our Ayurveda treatments on maintaining or restoring this balance with personalized healing methods and ritual practices. At Retreat Park am See Nattika Ayurveda, we not only follow traditional methods, but also integrate modern insights and individualized approaches to apply Ayurvedic principles in a relevant and effective way. Our holistic programs include careful diagnoses, therapeutic cleansing processes (shodhana), nutrient supplementation (samana) and rasayana (rejuvenation therapies), complemented by tailored yoga and meditation practices. Every guest experiences a rejuvenating environment at Retreat Park am See Nattika Ayurveda, where stillness and naturalness prevail in every aspect of the healing process.
